This event is a fashion experience not to be missed. Its a free viewing of local fashion designers creations in a rotating fashion show during the Devious Indie Fashion Experience. This free and open fashion show is complete with avante garde photo shoot right in the galleries and on the street! Its created in an effort to help establish a wholesale market. Wholesale and retail sales vary by each designer and artist. Bring your business cards and wholesale license and have your shopping done in one day.
The live rotating fashion shows and photo shoots bring the studio to life; right along Grand Avenue. The event was created by Anna Marie; owner & founder of Devious Wigs & Things LLC, in an effort to cultivate a buying destination, which can supply the buyers for the local boutiques here in Arizona, because it’s a shame people have to drive all the way to LA or fly to NY to shop for their Phoenician boutiques. The event will host Fashion In Motion V, which will thrust you into the realms of the fashion world, simply by being you, fashion minded, a creative soul, ready to find that special unique gift that will spread joy and help spread fashion! This will be a day of entertainment and shopping with music blarring from the roof top and live fashion mannequins.
Models will be glamorized by Salon D'Shayn and ShopDevious.com before they are dressed and accessoriezed in creations from the participating Local designers. Photographers can photograph them on the street or in the Galleries for fun and wild photos. If you new to the industry this is a great way to get more exposure, photos and make connections with other industry proffesionals.
Fashion In Motion IV is a rotating fashion show which showcases local fashion designers. This season of shows takes place along the historic Route 60; Grand Avenue. There are pedestal boxes placed sporadically along the corners of Grand Avenue, 13th Avenue & Mc Kinnely ave. Each hour there will be a different designer showcased. In between sets you can visit the local artists and designers to place wholesale or retail orders. Each event is different so come out to all of them and be a part of creating a wholesale marketplace for all things fashion in Arizona.
Fashion in Motion IV March 6, 2010 12pm - 5pm
Taking place during the Devious Indie Fashion Experience, Art Detour weekend. Fashion In Motion IV is a FREE fashion experience unlike no other. This will be a day of entertainment, shopping and fashion, with music blaring from the roof top. At noon live fashion mannequins will line the historical route 60; in a rotating fashion show of local designers along Grand Avenue. The AZ Deep House Movement! ::UNITY:: brings an eclectic House Vibe, ranging from afro/latin, funk, soul and global sounds. w/ UNITY founder RMC along side resident djs: D' Anthony and Donald. Vendors will line the street offering wholesale and retail custom creations. We have room for more vendors and designers too! Email sassi@deviouswigs.com to be a part of the event. Various other events along Grand will be presented by the individual businesses that uniquely comprise the new Arts & Cultural District along lower Grand Avenue from 9th avenue to 15th avenue.
Fashion in Motion III December 5, 2009 12pm - 8pm
Join us during the Shopping ExtravaGRANDza and the Devious Indie Fashion Experience for a night of fashion, shopping and entertainment along the historic Route 60 which is know today as lower Grand Avenue from 9th ave thru 15th ave in Downtown Phoenix. We have RunzwithScissors.etsy.com designer Astrid showcasing her phenominal designer creations and fashions. Opendance is joining ShopDevious.com for an explosion of color in a display of live theatrical dancing followed by mannequin modeling along Route 60; begining around 12pm. The live mannequin models will line the street in a rotating fashion show, displaying the creations of a different fashion or accessories designer every hour. This colaboration will be a match made in color! D'Lisa and Company will glamourize the beautiful live mannequin models with beautiful makeup creations. A local set will include custom fashions created by Zoe.
Fashion In Motion is an ongoing live mannequin modelling showcase which incorporates each individual venue's setting and adapts the stage around the space. The runway is made up of a series of 4 platform boxes. The models rotate on each box every 5 minutes until all 4 boxes have been utilized. Almost every 3 months, Fashion In Motion welcomes local designers to showcase their creations, in hopes of creating a buying district for local boutiques. Fashion in Motion II September 26, 2009 5pm - 7pm
Join us during the Grand Avenue Festival for a night of fashion, twists and color splashed along Route 60. Marie from BalloonsByMarie.com will join ShopDevious.com in an explosion of color. Its a fashion show along Route 60 begining around 4:30pm live mannequin models will line the street in a rotating fashion show. This colaboration will be a match made in color! Warpaint and Zoe will glamourize the beautiful live mannequin models. Custom fashions will be created by adaptive re-use from Zoe and Babs. Free snowcones for all during the festival. Timmy Voitta will paint our logo in a mural outside during the festival too. There will be so much to do, all for free and each event is created by individual spaces and galleries so the cultural experience will be a world of wonders.or piece your sure to find a great new.....??? the possibilities are endless. more information

Fashion in Motion I July 2004 7pm - 9pm
This night was a fabulous collaboration between Devious Wigs & Things and local designers and musicians. The fashion show took place in the courtyard in the old Park Cental mall. It was a night laden with 6 sets exploding with fabulous shades of pinks, greens and every other color under the rainbow.
